Start by Covering Some Bums

Have you started outliving yet?  I'm trying, and let me tell you that it is not always easy.  I did make and entire week without eating out.  (And those of you rolling your eyes, I might deserve that...)  But it was a small step and gave me hope that change is possible!  :)

I've added some new tabs to the blog.  I want this to be a place where we can share ideas and tips.  And as with any other journey of growth, it's better with friends.  So let me know how you're outliving.

Now, for our very FIRST post about ways to outlive, we're sending cloth diapers to Ethiopia!  This was by no means my idea, but I'm doing my small part to spread the word.  Read more about how this project got started here...

Donate Your Used Or New Cloth Diapers for Babies In Ethiopia

At first glance, I thought, "This is a pretty good idea."  (Yes, I think in quote marks).  Then, I started to think about how important a diaper is in the life of a child, or better yet, in the life of a child's caregiver.  I can't imagine trying to love on a precious orphan WITHOUT a diaper.  My child is definitely diaper spoiled.  We go through them like there's no tomorrow.  And while her cloth diaper phase was precious...

it was not successful.  Lots of leaks and an exhausted mama who did not want to come home from work and wash diapers every night quickly ended the cloth run.

This project allows us to give just a little bit of our luxury away and cover the bum of a precious little one.  God calls us all to care for the fatherless.  Do what you can to answer that call.

*Fancy diapers are not required!  I picked up a few packs at a large store that shall not be named for $6.99 each.
